Plant description
The RHS award-winning, free and long flowering ‘Wild Swan’ has pure white petals with a distinct grey-blue streak along the reverse, so when in bud, or when the blooms nod and half close (in the mornings and evenings) the flowers look bluish, but when they are fully open they are a dazzling pure white. Ideal for the woodland garden or partially shaded bed, its extended flowering period, intermittently between May and November, and pretty colouring makes this Chelsea Flower Show plant of the year for 2011 deservedly popular. Best in a humus rich soil and part shade and needs to be kept moist in dry spells.
