Plant description
A fantastic dessert apple tree variety, known for heavy, regular crops that are ready for harvesting in mid-September. ‘Pinova’ bears medium-sized fruits that are deliciously crisp and tangy, with red-flushed skin and creamy white flesh that mellows slightly with age. ‘Pinova’ is partially self-fertile, with excellent flavour inherited from its parents, ‘Cox’ and ‘Golden Delicious’. The fruits store well and hang on the tree late into the season. This variety also boasts excellent resistance to mildew and scab, making it an ideal choice for organic growers.
Pollination information: This apple belongs to pollination group 3, and is partially self-fertile. To increase yields, it can be cross-pollinated with other apples in this group, or those from groups 2 or 4.
