Plant description
A large shrub or small tree that is highly valued for its ornamental features. While the trunk and older branches grow upright, forming an oval rounded crown, the younger branches gracefully droop downwards and twist and curl. In the spring, yellow catkins emerge among the glossy green, lance-shaped leaves that also curl and twist, creating lovely gold and green tresses. During autumn, the foliage turns a brilliant golden-yellow, showcasing the plant’s sculptural silhouette during the winter months.
