Symphoricarpos Magical Galaxy (‘Kolmgala’) (PBR)

This deciduous ornamental shrub is an impressive sight in autumn, when its stems are laden with clusters of plump white berries. These follow on from the smaller, less conspicuous, late summer flowers, which are sought after by bees and other pollinators. An attractive yet undemanding shrub, it’s ideal for adding late interest to the mixed border. ‘Magical Galaxy’ makes for a shrubby hedge, full of seasonal and wildlife interest, as well as a thick barrier plant to provide screening and privacy within an informal setting.
